Christchurch recovers its property mojo
Christchurch's commercial property sector is getting its mojo back - and McConnell Property is a one of the drivers of the region's growth spurt.
Our South Island Development Manager, Scott McCulloch, is quoted this week in The Press and Stuff.co.nz, speaking about one of our current Christchurch projects - Beaumont Park - and mentions a few other projects we have on the horizon.
McConnell's South Island development manager Scott McCulloch said Beaumont Park was not the only project it had on the horizon. It was looking closely at another residential project and a commercial project but it was too early to talk about them. Generally, McCulloch said the pace of the rebuild was picking up, due in large part to the fact that many insurance cases were finally being resolved.
"So people who had commercial buildings prior to the quakes have had to use that insurance money. And the big ones are the Government anchor projects like the Innovation precinct, the bus exchange and the convention centre."
