Hamilton CBD

The PwC Centre is a high quality 4+green star rating office building with a large public open space and is a gateway to the heart of the city centre and home to around 300 professionals. It's positioned next to one of Hamilton's busiest shopping precincts, right next to Wintec with over 20,000 students, near Hamilton Girls High School and 200m from the transport centre.

Previously known as 'Citygate', the PwC Centre is the first new office building in the Hamilton CBD for several years, transforming a site that had been vacant for 17 years.

The five-storey, 5300sqm building has become an important component in the revitalisation of Hamilton city centre and serves as a gateway to the hear of the city centre. A strong design emphasis is on security through passive surveillance, activity and quality design. The ground floor retail outlets face out to the central plaza area - a flexible multi-use space that provides opportunities for small to medium-sized events, plus opportunities for corporate events, entertainment, dining and people watching.

On 22 August 2014, acknowledgement in the NZIOB and GIB Awards for excellence in the building professions was received by Craig McCulloch of Hawkins, our building partner, who was highly commended for project delivery.

In 2013 McConnell Property also received the Urban Design Architectural Merit category award from the Property Council's "We Are Waikato" awards.

Anselmi Ridge

Residential Development, Pukekohe, Auckland

Anselmi is a 176 home master plan community, designed as a contemporary take on a rural village.

A lot of thought went into the neighbourhood experience at Anselmi Ridge. The houses have been designed to overlook the streets and parks and on-street parking and footpaths mean that streets always have people coming and going. We created a neighbourhood which has a series of spaces and places for all different uses.

At McConnell Property we are always looking at ways to soften our impact on the environment while creating a great place to live. A special feature at Anselmi Ridge is the low impact design Stormwater solution. All the water is treated onsite to ensure it is of the highest quality as it flows into Manukau Harbour. Auckland Regional Council now uses Anselmi Ridge as a benchmark.

All that thought was recognised with Anselmi Ridge winning an Award for Urban Land Development at the Property Council New Zealand 2011 Awards.

Natadola Beach, Fiji

Residential development, Natadola Bay

Natadola Bay is home to the Intercontinental resort and golf course. Several leading international golf tournaments are held there each year.

McConnell Property was engaged to carry out development management services for the new 70ha master planned residential development "Natadola Beach" in Fiji. This included preparing a development plan for the project, assessing the commercial feasibility in line with the vision and objectives set out in the Natadola Bay development charter, and creating the new brand and marketing plan.

Kawarau Village

Queenstown

Bank of Scotland International appointed KordaMentha as receivers with McConnell Property acting as Development Manager for Kawarau Village, Queenstown. Kawarau Residences are located in 4 buildings within Kawarau Village. The Lakeside Residences comprise luxury 4.5 star 1-2 bedroom apartments. Facilities include a gymnasium, spa and sauna, boutique conferencing centre, a food and beverage outlet and retail outlet.

The three other residence buildings are located along the entrance road at the top of Kawarau Village and provide 2-7 bedroom apartments.
